Cinderella, the 7 dwarfs and the beast

O
nce upon a time, there lived a girl named Cinderella. She is a beautiful woman with a good heart. She lived together with her cruel stepmother and 2 wicked stepsister. They didn’t treat Cinderella as a part of their family but instead she was treated as a servant. She did all the household chores everyday and she never complained about it.
A ball for all gentlemen and ladies in the kingdom was held in the palace. They didn’t allow her to attend the ball but her fairy godmother helped Cinderella, and turn her into a very beautiful princess with her gorgeous gown and elegant crystal shoes. She was then brought into the palace by a royal carriage and was reminded to be back before 12 midnight. Because of her beautiful looks, he was immediately noticed by the prince. They danced in the middle of the crowd, but suddenly Cinderella notices the time. She ran as fast as she could and accidentally left the pair of her shoe in the stairs because of hurry.
The prince was shocked and he picked the shoe. The next day, he searched for the woman who owns the shoe. Together with his guards, they went to every house and let every lady to fit the shoe. The prince will marry the woman whoever fits the shoe that’s why everyone wanted to fit it. When they reach Cinderella’s house, her 2 wicked stepsisters try hard to fit the shoe in their feet because they really want to marry the prince especially Anastasia but they failed. They notice Cinderella while cleaning the floor and asked her to fit it. They were all amazed that it perfectly fit her. The prince took Cinderella to the palace and they got married.
Everyone was happy for the two except for her stepsisters especially Anastasia. She was so angry and desperate to ruin the relationship of the two just to take the prince from Cinderella. One day while Cinderella and the prince were walking in the garden, Anastasia came and took Cinderella. She tried to kill her but the prince begged not to do it. In exchange, she asked the prince to leave Cinderella and live with her. Because of his love for Cinderella, he agreed and gone with Anastasia.
Cinderella was left lonely and very sad but she never gave up. She did everything and searched for the prince everywhere until she reached a creepy forest. She was scared by the wild animals and creepy sounds that urged her to run fast and fall unconsciously. She woke up in an unfamiliar room full of tiny stuffs and little things. When she went down, she saw the 7 dwarfs who helped her and brought her home. Cinderella didn’t know her way back home so she decided to stay with the dwarfs. Long time had passed and a strong relation was built between Cinderella and the dwarfs. They protect her as if she is their sister. One day, they warned her not to go too far and avoid going to the flower garden very often because there is a scary beast going in that garden named Chatum.
Because of Cinderella’s love for flowers, she went to the garden and didn’t mind what the dwarf told her. She enjoyed picking many beautiful flowers and loved the blossom of it. But she’s still not contented until she didn’t get her favorite white roses. She walked farther to pick white roses and was shocked to see the beast there. But instead of running, she still went through it and didn’t scare of Chatum. Without fear and hesitations, she approached the scary beast and tried to talk to him. Cinderella found out that he is not scary and evil. They became friends and started to share happy moments. Cinderella went to the garden everyday to spend time with the Chatum until one day she fell inlove with him. Just like what Cinderella felt, the beast was also inlove with her. While walking through the garden, Chatum picked a white rose and gave it to Cinderella. He confessed to Cinderella that he loves her. Cinderella’s tears fall because of happiness and told him that she feel the same way. With all her happiness, she kissed Chatum passionately with love. A big light wrapped the beast and transform him into a very handsome prince. Cinderella was surprised when he saw that the scary beast turn to a prince and that prince was her husband. The prince hugged her tightly and told her how he misses her so much. He told the whole story how Anastasia become a witch and curse him to be a beast because he can’t love her.
After that, they went to the dwarfs’ house together to say thank you for everything and to say goodbye. They went back in the kingdom and they lived happily ever after.

MY AUTOBIOGRAPHY

It was around 11 o’clock in the morning, Wednesday, the 25th day of October 1995, while everyone were so busy harvesting their crops, my mother gave birth to me in a hospital in the City of Cabanatuan and delivered me caesarian that almost cost her life, and I got the chance to exist in this world. I was named after the famous Hollywood singer, Janet Jackson whom my father idolized most. My aunts and uncles used to call me “neth” and my cousins sometimes called me “jan-jan.
I am a simple girl who enjoys doing lots of things. I love surfing the net, playing badminton and volleyball, eating and sleeping. I’m a girl who used to be talkative and sometimes being called “makulit”. I’m easy to be with, a funny girl but sometimes moody. I have the attitude of being childish and sometimes immature because I am the youngest in our family.
Now lets go back in time. During my childhood, I spent my time more on playing just like what an ordinary child does. I used to play with my cousins and with my neighbors that most of the time caused me not to eat my meals. I grew up with my parents namely Nonita Almodovar and Lunuel Ramos  together with my older sister Shiela, in the small town of Cuyapo in Nueva Ecija “The Rice Bowl of the Philippines”. This town is where our Filipino hero Apolinario Mabini was arrested by the Americans on December 10,1899. We lived here very happy since I was young together in with my big family in my mother’s side. As I’m growing up, my mother sent me to school and started my kindergarten and my elementary grade in a public school in our town. My seven years in studying made me feel not that too hard because there were no many worries and problems to think about. I finished my elementary on 2006 and graduated as a valedictorian.
The next stage of my life started as a high school student. As everyone says, high school is the best time for everyone’s life. I strongly agree about this. But when I started this phase of my life, I found myself having difficulty to adjust. I lived together with my grandparents during those times. Its quite hard but I get to used on it. I discovered many new things, met new faces and friends and also a new environment. I found it very enjoyable, full of experience and full of memories. I met my friends here who are now my best friends as well as my favorite teacher “Maam Netty”. During those precious moments, I do a lot of things as a student. I am the secretary of the Supreme Student Government, a CAT officer and a writer in our school paper. I travel around Nueva Ecija to join lots of contest. Sometimes I win, sometimes I don’t, but it doesn’t matter.  What matters most is the experience and the lessons that I’ve learned. I’ve also been into commitments like other teen agers. But even for a short period of time, I can say that this is one part of my life that made me feel what a teen ager is and a high school student. I finished my high school in Cuyapo National High School and graduated as a salutatorian.
Now I’m leaving my hometown and all of the good times I had in it. I’m starting a new life again. The college life. New surroundings, new faces. new friends and a new environment. I found it too hard to move here in the City, a strange place for me then. My life as a college student was really hard for me. I cry most of the time. I was nervous because college is too different from high school. There’ll be no Maam Netty, Sir Mark or Even Maam Tess to give me advice. In this battle, I have to fight alone and depend on no one but myself with the guidance of our Almighty Father. I know that time will come that I will be able to fully adapt in my environment. My college journey has just started. Soon, I will learn and develop. And the whole planet will see me evolving. J

Isabella’s two kings

Once there was a girl named Isabella who lived in a big city where everyone dreamt to live. She is the youngest daughter of a rich couple named, Leo and Amanda Smith. Isabella gets everything she wants. Luxury, gadgets, and she go to a popular school. Unlike other rich girls, Isabella’s attitude is far from what others expect. They admired her for being kind, generous, friendly, intelligent and pretty. She is the consistent topnotcher in class since she started school. They often saw her in the library with her Jeremy. He is Isabella’s bestfriend for 4 years. He knows a lot of things about her because almost everyday they are with each other.
Isabella’s father is a businessman. A busy person, strict, and intelligent. He expects so much from his children coz’ for him you need to be the best. She never had a chance to be close with her dad and they don’t bond very often. Since she started school, she never heard or see that her father was proud of her. Opposite of her dad, her Mom shows her how proud she is to Isabella. Mrs. Smith is an architect, a lovable wife, caring mother and a good friend.
In college, Jeremy and Isabella entered the same school with the same course. Jeremy enjoyed and was very happy taking up Civil Engineering but unlike him, Isabella is trying to put her heart in that course.
Every night, she cried and write to her diary every detail of her life and the things happening to her.
Dear Diary,
I was exhausted for the day. We did lots of things in school and I can’t hide the fact that I’m not enjoying in this course. You know that I really want to be a doctor eversince and being here in this course feels like slowly killing me. But what can I do? If this is the only way and the chance for me to make daddy proud, then I will, to prove her that I can and I’m worth it…..
As days passed, she continues to study hard to be the best and she started to fall for Jeremy. This is the feeling she was afraid of. Their friendship might ruin and he’s afraid of losing Jeremy. After class, they had a chance to hang out. In the middle of their crazy moments, Isabella opened about her ideal man. “Someday, I would marry a doctor” she said. “I dreamt of being a doctor since I was young, but I wasn’t able to make it so I’d wanted my man to do that for me” she added.
Days and weeks passed and the two still did the same everyday. Until one day, Isabella wondered why Jeremy was absent. Next days came and he was still not going to school. She went to Jeremy’s home and found out that he went abroad to study.
Years passed and they never had a communication. On the graduation day, Isabella didn’t graduate with honors which made him feel worthless. She failed to make her dad proud. After graduation, she focused on reviewing and studying for the upcoming board Exam. She always stay up late and almost forgot to eat that caused her to be rushed in the hospital. She almost lost her life. The doctor found out that Isabella was suffering from depression and lacks blood. Inside the room, her sister handed her father the diary of Isabella. He started to cry as he read every pages of it. He realized everything and found out that Isabella is doing it all for her father. When she woke up, her father apologize and told her that he is very proud of her, in all her achievements. He just failed to show it.
After a month, Isabella took the exam with confidence and leading her to be the board topnotcher. At that time, she proved herself to everyone and especially to her dad.
5 years later, she was already a famous engineer and is doing great on her job. One day, while she was in her office, busy doing the plan of her next project, a handsome man enters. Upon seeing the guy she was so shocked and started to cry. She rushed to that man ang hugged him tightly. It was her long lost bestfriend Jeremy. “I missed you so much, why did you just leave without even telling me and you never communicate?” Isabella said with tears of joy. “I’m sorry. I missed you so much too. And now, I’m ready to tell you that I love you more than being my Bestfriend. I went abroad to study medicine for the queen of my life” Jeremy explained with soft voice.
Jeremy sacrificed his dream of being an Engineer just to prove how much she loves Isabella. After a year, they got married and lived happily ever after.

FRIEND

The word “Friend” has many definitions to everyone. Some says, “A friend is someone you can lean on.” Other says, “A friend is someone whom you can trust and is always there to help you.” There are lots of words that can describe or define a friend.
In this world where billions of people live, I know for sure everyone has a friend. Most of them consider theirs as one of their greatest treasure. They were the important persons who had a big impact in their lives and gave them so much memories to remember.

HOW IMPORTANT IS A FRIEND?

The importance of friends in our lives is like the importance of heartbeats. Though they are not visible, they silently lend us the gift of life. It is not based on how many secrets you’ve shared, it isn’t how well you get along or how people see you together. But it is about how you appreciate the differences, the gaps, the hindrances and trials and still he/she looks at you straight from the heart without hatred, judgment, envy and prejudice.
Friends really mean so much to everyone. They cheer you up when you’re down and accompany you through your loneliest days. They were there to understand no matter how weird you are. Remember, you can’t tap your back for a job well done. You can’t hug yourself for comfort. And you can’t cry on your shoulders when tears fall. Those are the reasons why friends are created in this world. To let them do the things you can’t do for your own.

Social Networking Sites

Internet is recently one of the fast, convenient ways for people to communicate with other people around the world. Especially with social networking sites, people are now able to create their own world online. They can do all the things they want to do even things they can’t do them in their real lives. Most likely, teenagers are a great numbers of users and members of the networking sites such as MySpace, Facebook and Twitter. They usually get online and join those sites on their free time.

Adults are not exceptions here, they use networking sites to do research, communicate with others or do their work online. In some aspects, those networking sites have shared the bad publicity of identity theft, false profiles, and online predators. In fact, those things have happened recently because social networking sites cannot control what kind of people will be online and join their sites, so the risks are obviously not created by their faults. Despite of those bad publicities, social networking sites are still popular for their great functions and features. Specially, creating a comfortable entertain atmosphere and helping people improve their social skills.

Foreign Music vs. Filipino Music or OPM

As a member of this young generation, where are you; more of the foreign or still in the “sariling atin?”
Nowadays, Filipino teenagers have weird likes and wants – in terms of fashion, food, hairstyles, gadgets, etc. When it comes to the type of music or songs they are listening to as well. But the saddest truth is that, the Filipino youth today prefer the foreign music than the OPM (Original Pilipino Music).
Why? First, most Filipino songs seem to sound the same. That's why it is also tagged as "baduy" or "corny" Most of them are power ballads, acoustic and deep love songs so that’s why for many Filipinos especially for the younger generation, it really sounds boring. Filipino youth are into more upbeat, catchy and happy songs like the ones in the American music genres like hip hop. Aside from that, K-pop and J-pop already emerged in the Philippine music scene. It is fresher in their ears and it is quite the trend today. Second, Filipinos are known to be captivated by anything that is American. It has something to do with Filipinos' English capability. It also serves as our second language. By listening to American music, you'll improve you're English ability somehow. Third, the Filipino music known nowadays are more on either revivals of foreign songs or based on it. In that sense, our own music has no sense of originality and identity. And lastly, our era is already advanced in terms of technology and the way of living. Music videos are one form of being advanced. Meaning, the looks and the way the singers dress affect the listeners and viewers. Filipino teens take into consideration that things as original, unique, cool and so much IN (refers to the popular things). The perfect examples are Lady Gaga, 2NE1, Super Junior, Taylor Swift and Justin Bieber.
Yet, at the end of the day, it is up to you as a part of the “now” generation if you will go all the way in full supporting foreign music or you’ll stick to what you can call your own. Anyways, Filipino music and foreign music are two different types so we should stop comparing, just choose what you want and not look down either one of them.
